Training Courses Offered
S.E.E.D.© Technology Center, LLC, offers programs and services
that engages unemployed youth between the ages of 16 and 24 and adults 25 and
up, in work, education, and family activities that will rebuild their community
and their lives. The main focus of our programs is to provide technical
education through formal classroom training and to provide hands-on instruction
in the field of computers and technology. This program will allow unemployed and
disadvantaged youth and adults to go back to school in an attempt to gain their
High School Equivalency (GED) while also giving them hands-on experience that
will allow them to become a part of the mainstream community.
Our training program provides to low-income, high-school dropouts and
youth-at-risk ages 16-24
and unemployed adults 25 and older:
- academic instruction for high school diploma or GED acquisition,
- technology skills training and job placement assistance and
- leadership training and instruction.
Throughout the year South Carolina youth and adults are trained in computer
applications and other technology-based programs that are creating innovative
solutions for our state.

Center is an organization dedicated to a fundamental redesign of public
schooling in America by:
- catalyzing vital changes in public education by generating and sustaining
innovative, personalized schools that work in concert with the real world of
their greater community,
- building and supporting break-through public schools and coordinates a cadre
of youth development organizations establishing alternative high schools for
at-risk youth nationwide,
- developing rigorous, highly personalized technology curriculum combining
demanding academic work with real-world experiential and inquiry-driven
learning, and
- challenging the status-quo of schools and educators in our community and
engaging family and community members through innovative technology outreach
programs that strengthen the economics of our community while intensifying the
educational experience for students.

Technology Training Services in the following areas:
- Computer Information Technology Job Skills Training (CITT)
- Education & Career Counseling (ECC)
- Employment Placement Assistance & Training (EPaT)
- GED Tutoring & Preparation Classes (GED)
What services are offered?
Participants receive intensive case management and follow-up, education, job
skills training, pre-employment services, and unsubsidized job placement with
retention services. Services may include:
- basic skills enhancement (reading, writing, and math instruction);
- access and enrollment in GED (high school equivalency diploma) classes
and/or computer literacy training;
- short-term technical training, various job training classes and job readiness
assessments (interviewing skills, conflict-resolution, financial budgeting);
- mentoring (career pathway development) and counseling; and provides
- referrals to various community organizations (homeless shelters,
counseling and substance/alcohol abuse programs).
How are the services provided?
Services are provided through contractual agreements and memorandums of
understanding with community-based providers and/or local
governmental units. Participants may be referred to the service providers by the
Resource Center.
