President's Biography

B. Alexander Ingram was named acting Executive Director of S.E.E.D.^© Technology Center in 2007.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, B. Alexander graduating from Malcolm X Shabazz High School before going on to the University of Phoenix to complete his B.S. in Information Systems. 

That began a long and successful educational journey to complete both a Master's in Business Administration and a Doctorate in Management Information Systems, which gave him his spark to launch into creating educational programs for the disadvantaged and disenfranchised. 

However, when he and his wife, Mona Lisa, first visited South Carolina, immediately they witnessed the disparity of educational and economical opportunities presented to the residence of the State, that they established S.E.E.D.^© Faith Ministries International, Inc., which is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) educational, economical and charitable organization specializing in the training, teaching and equipping of the incarcerated, underprivileged and disadvantaged.

"We saw the inequities that existed and it just seemed right to want to help other achieve a level of education that would assist them in bettering themselves," said Ingram.

"I have followed the development of the university-colleges in S.C. with interest and having spent a great majority of my adult career learning first-hand knowledge of the limitations placed on students and the community-at-large when access to university education, scholarly expertise and other academic services is centralized. I was impressed to make a difference and demonstrate a substantial impact on the people, the culture and the economy of South Carolina."

Dr. Ingram has been married to his lovely wife Mona Lisa for over 23 years. She is a healthcare professional and a native of Charleston, South Carolina. 

Dr. Ingram is an active member of a number of community and professional organizations, including the Society of Mechanical Engineers; Data Processing Managers Association; Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (IMA); 100 Black Men of Greater Columbia; and has a significant number of publications, presentations and other achievements to his credit.
